| The Kokkalis Foundation and the Kokkalis Program on Southeastern
and East-Central Europe at the John F. Kennedy School of Government of
Harvard University were established with the purpose of building bridges
- networks for peace - across Southeastern and East-Central Europe, and
between that region and the rest of the world.
The Kokkalis Foundation supports the creation of an integrated network for educational, research, and outreach activities aiming to assist the transition to democracy and market economy now underway in the region. Through a fellowship program for master's degrees in public policy and public administration at the Kennedy School of Government, the Kokkalis Foundation aims to prepare leaders for service in government and other institutions in democratic societies. Through a series of executive training seminars on leadership and economic development, the Foundation aims to contribute to the solution of important public policy problems by means of innovative, effective tools of governance in the public, private, and nonprofit sector. Through research and conferences, the Foundation contributes to increasing awareness and analysis of important issues within its range of interests. |
